Ingredients

• 2 medium bulbs of fennel with fronds
• 1 lb (454 g) of dried angel hair pasta
• 2 tbsp of olive oil
• 2 small red onions , chopped (1.5 cup)
• 0.5 tsp of fennel seeds
• 0.5 tsp of saffron threads
• 3 tbsp of currants or raisins , plumped in warm water and drained
• 2 tbsp of pine nuts
