Ingredients

  • 150g of beef mince
  • 12g of preserved kohlrabi, also known as tai tow choy, finely chopped (available in Asian supermarkets)
  • 5 coriander stalks, finely chopped
  • 5 tbsp of water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 3 tbsp of potato starch
  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tbsp of vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp of light soy sauce
  • 1 pinch of freshly ground white pepper
  • 230g of jasmine rice
  • 300ml of boiling water
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp of Poon’s soy sauce
  • 1 spring onion, sliced
  • 1 handful of fresh coriander, roughly chopped
