Ingredients

• 3 cups Gelson’s walnuts
• ¼ cup packed brown sugar
• 1 tsp lemon zest
• ¾ tsp cinnamon
• ½ tsp kosher salt
• 2 ½ sticks unsalted butter, melted, divided
• ½ 16-oz box phyllo dough (20 sheets)
• 1 cup simple syrup
• ⅓ cup honey
• 1 ½ tsp lemon juice
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 2 Tbsp chopped pistachios, for garnish
