Ingredients

• 450 g (1 lb) smoked back bacon, chopped
• 450 g (1 lb) potatoes, diced
• 225 g (8 oz) carrots, sliced
• 2 tbsp oil
• 600 ml (1 pint) chicken stock
• 1 Bouquet Garni
• 1 tsp Dill
• ¼ tsp Ground Black Pepper
• 225 g (8 oz) runner beans
• 225 g (8 oz) broad beans
• 1 large cooking apple, sliced
• 2 tsp cornflour and 1tbs cold water blended to form a paste
