Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 450 g lean boneless pork (cut into 2 cm chunks)
  • 2 carrots (cut into 1 cm cubes)
  • 2 stalks celery (sliced)
  • 2 leeks (sliced)
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 tbsp fresh sage (finely shredded, or 1 teaspoon dried sage)
  • 1 1/4 cups dry cider
  • 1 1/4 cups reduced-salt chicken stock
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 670 g potatoes (peeled and cut into 1 cm cubes)
  • 220 g turnip (cut into 1 cm cubes)
  • 100 g fresh whole-wheat breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup self-raising flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 4 tbsp fresh chives (snipped)
  • 4 tbsp parsley (chopped)
  • 1 egg (lightly beaten)
  • 4 tbsp low-fat milk
  • 1 tbsp sunflower oil
