Steak with Potato Waffles - James Martin Chef
Steak and home made waffles, a marriage made in heaven! Served with garlic butter and a madeira sauce to make the dish that little bit extra!
Ingredients
- 250g plain flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp caster sugar
- 3 eggs
- 200ml milk
- 2 tbs chopped spring onions
- 100g diced potatoes, blanched
- 2 tomatoes, concassed
- Few sprigs of tarragon
- 2 bulbs garlic roasted for 30 minutes
- 150g butter softened
- 2x 150g sirloin steak
- 25g butter, cubed
- Salt and pepper
- 200ml veal jus
- Splash of madeira
- Knob of butter
