blt salad… and a contest — Les Petites Gourmettes

Ingredients

• 6 slices bacon, cut into bite-size pieces
• 2 garlic cloves, peeled and minced
• 2 shallots, peeled and minced
• 1/4 cup mayonnaise
• 1/4 cup sour cream
• 2 tablespoons sherry or red wine vinegar
• Salt and freshly ground black pepper
• 12 cups mixture torn romaine and butter lettuce
• 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
• 1/2 cup crumbled Roquefort cheese
