My Favorite Biscotti Recipe

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup butter (use real butter--it is worth it)
• 3/4 cup sugar
• 2 eggs
• 2 tbsp liqueur (my favorite is Kahlua or Frangelico)
• 1/4 tsp vanilla extract (use real vanilla, not imitation)
• 2 cups unbleached flour
• 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
• 1/4 tsp salt (or if your butter is salted-just a pinch)
• 1 cup nuts (I prefer pistachios, almonds, or hazelnuts)
• 4 oz bittersweet chocolate
• 1 cup dried fruit (pre-soaked in a tbsp of vodka for 10 minutes)
