• ½ cup buttermilk
• 1 stick unsalted butter, softened (8 Tbsp.)
• ¾ cup granulated sugar
• ¼ cup packed brown sugar
• 1 egg
• 1 tsp. vanilla extract
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• ½ tsp. each table salt, baking powder, and baking soda
• 2 Tbsp. purchased caramel topping
• 2 cups powdered sugar
