Granny Smith Jnr's Tomato and Bacon Pasta Sauce

Ingredients

• 4 small Onions chopped
• 12 ounces Streaky bacon chopped
• 1 tablespoon Creme fraiche
• 1 400 gms tin Chopped Tomatoes
• 1/2 teaspoon Chopped basil
• 1 large Green pepper chopped
• 3/4 tin tomato puree
• 1/2 glass White wine
• 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
• 3 ounce Green peas if required
• 1 single Bay leaf
• 1 qty Salt, garlic salt, pepper
• 1 qty Olive oil as required
• 1 large knob Butter
