- 3 packages frozen spinach, thawed and drained well
- 1 cup light mayonnaise
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 teaspoon dried dill weed
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 can water chestnuts, drained and chopped
- Dash white pepper and nutmeg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Rye bread loaf, hollowed out, extra bread chopped into cubes
