- 1/2 cup apricot jam or 1/2 cup peach jam
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger, fresh
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1/2-1 teaspoon five-spice powder
- 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sherry wine
- 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 -2 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons ketchup (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke (optional)
