Cheese Soup Recipe

Ingredients

• 5 tb butter or margarine
• 2 medium carrots, finely chopped
• 2 celery ribs, finely chopped
• 1 medium onion, finely chopped
• 1 green pepper, seeded and chopped
• 0.5 c cooked ham, finely chopped
• 0.5 c flour
• 2 tb cornstarch
• 1 qt chicken broth
• 1 qt milk
• 0.5 ts paprika
• 0.25 ts cayenne
• 0.5 ts dry mustard
• 1 lb sharp cheddar cheese, grated
• salt
• freshly ground black pepper
