Our irresistibly gooey Welsh rarebit recipe is British comfort food which we reckon will keep all the family happy, plus it is on the table in 20 minutes
Ingredients
- 40g butter
- 40g plain flour
- 1 tsp English mustard
- ½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 200ml brown ale or Guinness
- 200g extra-mature cheddar, grated
- 100g Beacon Fell Lancashire cheese, grated
- 75g pickled onions, chopped (optional)
- 4 large, thick slices of bread (we used sourdough)
