EASY Welsh Cakes Recipe – The Travel Bite
This easy Welsh Cake recipe is a gift from my friend Sian in Wales. Welsh Cakes are a delicious treat that's a cross between a pancake, biscuit, and scone.
Ingredients
- 250g / 8 oz of self rising flour (1 3/4 to 2 cups)
- 4 oz butter
- 3 oz caster sugar
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 egg, beaten
- 3 oz currants (1/2 to 2/3 cup)
- 1 Tbsp milk
