Cream of Asparagus Soup - Urban Vivant

Ingredients

• 3 C asparagus (about 1 pound), chopped into 1/2″ pieces
• 2 C chicken broth
• 1/2 + 1/4 t fresh thyme, divided
• 1 bay leaf
• 1 garlic clove, crushed
• 1 T flour
• 2 C milk
• Dash of ground nutmeg
• 2 t butter
• 3/4 t salt
• 1/4 t grated lemon rind
