Ingredients

• 30 grams (~2 tablespoons) butter
• 1 large onion, or two spring onions - diced
• 2 strips thick cut bacon, diced
• 1 large carrot, diced
• 1 small leek, sliced
• 1 small stalk of celery, diced
• 1 gram (1 teaspoon) marjoram
• 3-4 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
• 1 liter (1 quart + ~3 tablespoons) chicken stock
• 480 milliliters (2 cups) whole milk, or 1 cup of heavy cream
• Fresh parsley, for the garnish
• salt and pepper, to taste
