Ingredients

  • 4 cucumber flower holders with wasabi paste
  • ½ cup gari (sweet pickled ginger)
  • 1 whole sheet nori (laver), cut with scissors into needle-thin julienne strips 2 inches long
  • 1 cup Japanese ikura (salmon roe) or ordinary cured salmon roe
  • 2 wooden trays uni (sea urchin) or 16 sea urchins
  • tsuke-joyu (sushi dipping sauce)
  • 6 cups (lightly packed) prepared sushi rice for small bowls or 8 cups (lightly packed) prepared sushi rice for large bowls
