• 2 tablespoons tomato paste
• 2 cups chicken broth
• 1 1/2 cups stout, such as Guinness
• 2 packages (9 ounces each) frozen creamed pearl onions
• 1 pound each: boiling potatoes and peeled carrots, cut into bite-size chunks
• 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
