• 4 medium-sized Honeycrisp or Sugarbee apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
• Juice of 1 lemon
• 1/2 cup, plus 1 tablespoon, unsalted butter, divided, room temperature
• 1 cup sugar
• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 2 eggs
• 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour, plus additional for dusting pan
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/8 teaspoon Kosher salt
• 1/4 cup milk
• For the Topping:
• 1/4 cup unsalted butter
• 1/4 cup brown sugar
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• Confectioners' sugar, for serving
