• 3 cups thinly sliced Vidalia onions
• 1 bay leaf
• 1⁄2 teaspoon pepper
• 1 egg white
• 1⁄2 cup half & half
• 3 large eggs
• 1⁄8 teaspoon nutmeg
• 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh chives
