Ingredients

• 1 1/2 lbs chicken thighs without bones and skin, chopped into bits
• 2 tbsp cooking oil
• 1 medium onion, diced small
• 3 cloves garlic, crushed
• 1 tbsp ginger root, shredded
• 1 tbsp garam masala
• 1 tsp smoky paprika
• 1 tsp cumin powder
• 1/2 tsp turmeric
• 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (if you want spice)
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
• 1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
• 1 cup tomato sauce
• 1/2 cup chicken stock
• 1 cup heavy cream
• 2 tbsp butter
• Handful of cilantro leaves for topping
• Cooked basmati rice or naan bread for the side
