Blueberry Bourbon BBQ Sauce

Ingredients

• 1 1/2 tsp vegetable oil
• 1/2 small red onion, chopped
• 2 - 3 cloves garlic, chopped
• 1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and chopped
• 2/3 cup Straight Kentucky Bourbon whiskey
• 1 cup fresh or frozen (not thawed) blueberries
• 1/4 cup ketchup
• 3 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
• 1 1/2 tablespoon brown sugar
• 1 1/2 tsp black strap molasses
• A good pinch of ground allspice
