- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 cup (250ml) beer
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 200 grams button mushrooms, sliced thinly
- 3 sprigs fresh thyme
- 500 grams minced beef
- 1/4 cup (70g) tomato paste
- 2 teaspoons fresh thyme leaves
- 1 sheet puff pastry, quartered
- 1 egg, beaten lightly
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar, extra
