Recipe Cabbage and Beet Salad
I was craving cabbage and put this together at the spare of the moment one day. This recipe uses apple cider, but I have also used apple cider vinegar for a more tart taste (can sweeten with honey)...
Ingredients
- 1/2 small head of cabbage, chopped
- 4 slices cured salt pork, chopped into small pieces
- 1 1/2 cup apple cider
- 1/4 piece of onion, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 8.8 oz cooked beets, cut into small pieces
- 1 6 oz container of feta cheese, crumbled
