Picadillo Burgers - Sutter Home Family Vineyards

Ingredients

• A pound of ground chuck
• Pinch of Saffron
• 1 Tsp Garlic Powder
• 1 Tsp Onion Powder
• 2-3 Tablspoons of Sofrito-see below
• Special Sauce-see below
• Thick Slices of Red or Vidalia Onions
• Cheese, optional. I use Mexican Melting Cheese.
• Place in food processor, fire roasted red pepper, half a white onion, 2 cloves of garlic, three or four capers, pinch of salt and pepper and tablespoon of tomato paste.
• In a small bowl, combine 1/2 cup of mayo, a pinch of saffron, salt/pepper to taste, a teaspoon of sofrito.
