Black Bottom Banana Cream Pie

Ingredients

• 3 eggs
• 1/2 cup sugar
• pinch salt
• 3 tablespoons cornstarch
• 2 cups milk
• 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
• 1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
• 2 oz. excellent quality bittersweet chocolate, chopped
• 2 1/4 cups heavy cream
• 1 recipe pie dough, pre-baked in a 9-inch pie pan
• 4 small bananas, firm and ripe
• 1/2 cup orange juice
• 1 tablespoon confectioners sugar
• 1/4 cup dried banana chips
