• 1/2 cup chopped onions.
• 1/2 cup chopped shallots.
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 teaspoon pepper
• 1 1/2 cups dry red wine, or white if preferred.
• 1/2 cup whipping cream.
• 1/2 cup grated cheese. Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese or 4 blend.
• 1 cup veal or chicken stock (optional)
• 1 lb. farfalle bow tie pasta if serving with pasta (optional)
