Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (plus extra for dusting)
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • freshly chopped strawberries
  • balsamic drizzle
  • basil or microgreens for garnish
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F. Line sheet tray with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and honey.
  • Add the yogurt and olive oil to the dry mixture. Stir until the dough begins to come together. The dough will be slightly sticky.
  • Form the dough into a loaf shape and place it on a parchment lined baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom. An internal temperature of about 190°F (88°C) is also a good indicator.
  • Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then turn it out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Once cooled, slice the yogurt bread and enjoy it with fresh strawberries, balsamic and some flaked sea salt.
