- ¾ teaspoon ground turmeric
- 200 g (1⅓ cups) plain flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 125 g (4½ oz) mascarpone
- 200 g (7 oz) unsalted butter, at room temperature, plus more for greasing
- 200 g (7 oz) caster sugar
- 2 tablespoons poppy seeds (optional)
