Ingredients

• ⅓ cup hazelnuts, toasted and chopped
• ½ cup packed light brown sugar
• 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
• ½ teaspoon baking powder
• ½ teaspoon salt
• 2 sticks (1 cup) unsalted butter, softened
• 1 egg,1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 12-ounce jar seedless raspberry jam
• Confectioner’s sugar (optional)
• 2-inch fluted round cookie cutter and ½-inch round cookie cutter
