• 1 cup frozen unsalted butter, grated with a cheese grater
• 4-8 tablespoons ice water
• 3/4 cup flour
• 2 teaspoons salt
• 1teaspoon ground black pepper
• 5 cups half and half
• 12 whole eggs
• 1/2 cup egg yolks
• 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
• 1 cup prepared vegetables, optional
