Singlefile Wines - Recipes - Shepherd's Pie with Sweet Potato Mash

Ingredients

• 2 TBSP extra virgin olive oil
• 1 onion, finely chopped
• 1 carrot, finely chopped
• 3 celery stalks, finely chopped
• 4 cloves garlic, crushed
• 500 g lamb mince
• 100 g tomato paste
• 0.25 tsp ground cloves
• 0.5 tsp ground cinnamon
• 2 tsp dried thyme
• 400 g tin chopped tomatoes
• 1 TBSP Worcestershire sauce
• 1 cup (120g) frozen peas
• 1 kg sweet potato, cut into 3cm chunks
• 30 g unsalted butter, melted
• 140 g grated cheddar cheese
• 400 g green beans, trimmed and steamed, to serve
