Mary Berry Asparagus Soup Recipe

Ingredients

• 1 tablespoon of butter
• 1 onion, chopped
• 2 garlic cloves, crushed
• 2 pounds of asparagus , trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
• 4 cups of chicken or vegetable stock
• Salt and pepper, to taste
• 1/4 cup of heavy cream
• Fresh parsley or chives, chopped, for garnish
