Pork estofado is a Filipino pork dish made with stewed pork, potatoes, and carrots in a sweet-tangy soy sauce. Some variations on this pork estofado recipe use banana plantains (saba).
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons cooking oil
- 5 tablespoons Garlic (minced)
- 1 kilo pork (sliced)
- 1 Cup Tomato sauce
- 3/4 Cup Soy Sauce
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 Cup water
- 3 pieces dried bay leaf
- 1 tablespoon peppercorns
- 1 1/2 Cup carrot (sliced)
- 1 Cup Potatoes (sliced into half-inch thick pieces)
- Salt (to taste)
