Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • pinch each of salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • toasted sesame seeds
  • 10–12 bamboo skewers
  • 2 × 250 g rump steaks (or lamb chump chops or chicken thighs), cut into slivers that are roughly 5 mm thick
  • 2–3 Tbsp coconut cream or natural yoghurt (optional)
  • 1 Tbsp tahini
  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
  • 2 tsp honey (or a few drops of stevia liquid or rice malt syrup), or more to taste
  • 1–2 Tbsp roughly chopped fresh coriander
  • 2 spring onions, finely chopped
  • 3 Tbsp lime juice (or lemon juice or rice vinegar)
  • 1 Tbsp sesame oil
  • lime wedges
