Sticky Toffee Banana Cake - Once Upon a Chef

Ingredients

• 1¾ cups cups all-purpose flour, (spooned into measuring cup and leveled-off)
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• ¼ teaspoon salt
• ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly
• ¾ cup sugar
• 2 large eggs
• 1 cup very ripe mashed bananas, (from 2 to 3 bananas)
• 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice, from 1 lemon
• 1½ teaspoons vanilla extract
• 1¼ cups heavy whipping cream
• ½ cup (packed) dark brown sugar
• ½ cup light corn syrup
• 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
• Pinch salt
• Sliced ripe bananas
• Chopped pecans
