Ingredients

• Freshly ground black pepper
• 1 medium carrot, finely chopped
• 1 medium stalk celery, finely chopped
• 2 Tablespoons cider vinegar
• 4 teaspoons coconut oil (or vegetable oil, as per Deb's original recipe)
• 1 Tablespoon Dijon mustard
• 2 medium eggs
• 1 garlic clove, minced
• 2 pounds ground beef
• 2 teaspoons honey (I used maple syrup)
• Olive oil, for cooking
• 1/2 medium onion, finely chopped
• 1/4 teaspoon table salt
• 1 Tablespoon tomato paste
• 2 slices sandwich bread
