• 1 cup chopped onion

• 4 cups low sodium chicken broth
• 1 cup diced potatoes (about 1/2 lb )
• 1 lb cut green beans, frozen or fresh
• 4 oz lean ham, finely chopped (1 cup)
• 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
• 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
• 1 cup seasoned croutons, for garnish
