Smoked Corned Brisket Recipe
St. Patrick’s Day isn’t a “corned beef brisket day” from my Irish forefathers, St Patty and corned beef craze or trend was an American born half breed Irish idea.
Ingredients
- 2 qt water
- 1 cup salt (coarse kosher)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbs saltpeter
- 1 gal ice
- 5 lb brisket (trimmed to 1/4" fat left)
- 5 lb brisket (trimmed to 1/4" fat left, flat or point or both)
- 3 tbs Dawgs Bark
