Sweet Italian Turkey Sausage Soup

Ingredients

• 1¼ lbs sweet turkey Italian sausage, casing removed
• 1 small onion, diced small
• ½ red bell pepper, diced
• ½ green bell pepper, diced
• 4 garlic cloves
• 2 t dried oregano
• 2 t dried basil
• ¼ t cayenne pepper
• 1 t salt
• 1 t black pepper
• 2 T tomato paste
• 1 jar (18 oz) diced tomato
• 1 jar (18 oz) crushed tomato
• 6 c low sodium beef broth
• 3 c chopped kale (1x1 inch pieces)
• 2 T butter
• 1 t garlic salt
• ¼ c fine grated Romano
