• 1/4 cup olive oil
• 1 onion, diced
• 4 cloves garlic, minced
• 2 each 28-ounce cans crushed tomatoes in thick puree (6 IN 1 brand All Purpose Ground Tomatoes)
• 1 teaspoon kosher salt
• 1/2 teaspoon fresh-ground black pepper
• 1 pound rigatoni, cooked to al dente in boiling, salted water and drained
