• 1 lemon cut in half
• 1 head of garlic cut in half crosswise
• 1 large bunch of fresh thyme
• 60g butter (have it at room temperature to make it easier to spread)
• 1 thickly sliced large onion
• 4 roughly chopped large carrots or 8 complete slender ones
• Olive oil
