Grandpa Snyder’s Carob Cake – Chatfield's Brand

Ingredients

• 1 1/2 cups cake flour ( (if substituting all-purpose flour use 3 tablespoons less))
• 1/4 cup Chatfield’s Carob Powder
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 3/4 cup sugar
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 1 tbsp lemon juice
• 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
• 6 tbsp vegetable or canola oil
• 1 cup water
• 1/4 cup sugar
• 1 tbsp Chatfield’s Carob Powder
• 1 tbsp margarine
• 2 tbsp soy milk
• 1/2 tbsp corn syrup
• 6 tbsp confectioners sugar
• 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
