• Pastry for double-crust pie (9 inches)
• 5 cups sliced peeled tart apples (about 6 medium)
• 3/4 cup sugar
• 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
