• 3/4 cup whole blanched almonds
• 1 cup seedless raisins
• 1 cup dried currents
• 1/2 lb chopped dates (1 1/4 cup)
• 1 cup candied peel
• 6 oz. bottle maraschino cherries/ drained
• 1/4 cup brandy or fruit juice
• 10 - 14 oz. can crushed pineapple
• 1 cup sugar
• 1/4 cup Kirsh or brandy
• 1/2 cup strawberry jam
• 2 cups all purpose flour
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• 1/4 tsp ground cloves
• 1/4 tsp allspice
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 3/4 tsp baking soda
• 1/2 lb butter
• 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
• 6 eggs
