Ingredients
- 1 cup slivered almonds
- 1 cup unbleached flour, divided
- 1/2 cup white whole wheat flour
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon, ground
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 egg yolks
- 8 ounces unsalted butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 10 ounces (about 1 cup) apricot preserves
