Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp butter, unsalted ($0.09)
  • 1 small yellow onion ($0.19)
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper ($0.02)
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic ($0.06)
  • 3 stalks celery, chopped (about 1 cup) ($0.24)
  • 3 medium carrots, coined (about 1-1.5 cups) ($0.24)

  • 1 tbsp poultry seasoning ($0.75 (alternatively you could also use 1 tbsp mixture of any of the following you have in your spice cupboard: thyme, rosemary, marjoram, sage, oregano))
