- Rhubarb: 1 quantity Barney's roasted rhubarb (see recipe, below method)
- Butter: 250g pack butter, softened, plus extra for greasing
- Custard: 150g pot ready-made custard (not the chilled kind; I used Ambrosia)
- Self Raising Flour: 250g self-raising flour
- Baking Powder: 1/2 tsp baking powder
- Egg: 4 large eggs
- Vanilla Extract: 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Golden Caster Sugar: 250g golden caster sugar
- Icing Sugar: icing sugar, for dusting
