- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 bay leaves
- 3 tbsp Sichuan peppercorns
- 8 cardamom pods (see note 1)
- 250 ml oil (see note 2)
- 15 g crushed chilli (red pepper) flakes, or more if desired (see note 3)
- 25 g chilli powder
- 2 tsp sea salt flakes
